The meeting was called to order by the President, Bob Johnson, at 7:10 p.m. The Executive Board minutes of September 15, 1963 would read and accepted.
Jack Kooyoomjian gave the financial report. He had a balance of $366.52; expenditures were $67.01; our balance is now $299.51.
Nominations for the office of Sergeant of Arms were Carlos Inacio, Daniel Malloy, Bob Peters, Dennis Sprinner.
Jack Kooyoomjian reported on the two dances that we are holding. On the dance on September 12, the net profit was approximately $750 a which is to be turned over to the SUG board for use as a scholarship. Concerning the dance on September 20 there will be a $.50 admission in the dance will last from 8 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.. Also, teams can now be paid. They are $2.50 and can be paid by seeing Jack Kooyoomjian.
Concerning the Book Exchange, Bob Johnson and Don Haynes asked the Brothers for better support in attendance.
Dave Mathieson talked about the work that APO obtained at the summer work camp at Forest Lake. A sum of $62.37 was spent for paint which was needed for the farmhouse. The motion was moved: move that the Chapter appropriate the sum of $62.37 towards the paint used at Forest Lake. This was carried.
Membership Committee - Don Kawash mentioned that the various changes individual manual. Also, there would be smokers on September 23 in October 2.
Al McNamara mentioned that George Jones's family had been burnt out. A collection was made in the sum of money was $22.05 was donated to their cause.
A Finance Committee meeting will be held this Thursday at 7 p.m. in Mem Hall. A Service Committee meeting will be held this Wednesday at 7 p.m. Mem Hall.
Move: that this chapter accept project of selling seat pads and appropriate $120 to finance the project and that the Finance Committee be given power to use its own discretion with due consideration of the chapter's 2/3 majority vote and that its power of reversal be used only in an extreme circumstance. This was carried.
